Koh Samui!

Well, what a great week of racing/drinking! Unlike some forecasts there was enough wind to get all of the races in.

The racing fleet completed 10 races, mostly windward leewards, racing was very close going into the last race, if Hifi had won they would of won the regatta, whilst Borocay and Mandrake were tied on points. In the end Evolution Racing come out on top with Hifi in second and EFG Bank Mandrake in third.

Regatta organisers once again proved that good partying is a key feature of a good regatta as judging from some of the crews at breakfast all competitors were well acquainted with the local nightlife scene (Soy Green Mango, etc).

Full results for all fleets are attached.

Koh Samui Regatta ... next week!!!

Monday sees that start of the 2010 Koh Samui Regatta, where once more the top Asian crews will grace the shores (and bars) of Chaweng Beach and battle it out on the water over five days of racing.

The big names will be there, with the crews of Evolution Racing and EFG Mandrake hoping to do one over on the Hi Fi crew who won both the China Sea Race and the Commodore's cup earlier on in the year.

Forecasts are predicting light and shift winds earlier on in the week, with conditions hopefully improving for the last few days of racing.

I will be following this event on the blog, updates will be made as regularly as possible.
